Day 01: Guwahati- Shillong (4 – 5 Hrs)
Arrive at Guwahati Airport & drive straight to Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya.Enroute visit Barapani Lake. O/N Shillong.
Day 02: Shillong – Local (Full day excursion)
Morning after breakfast leave for Excursion to Cherrapunjee, known for highest rainfall in the world and Nohkalikai falls (known as fourth highest falls in the world) & Mawsmai cave.
Day 03: Shillong – Local (Full Day excursion)
Morning after breakfast leave for Local Sightseeing by visiting Mawlynnong village located in interiors of Shillong at east khasi hills, surrounded by lush green forest and later visit to famous one of the natural living bridge in same village & Sky view point where you can have a clear view of Bangladesh Border, later back to Shillong, enroute visit to view Shillong famous Elephant falls & Don Bosco Centre for Indigenous culture Evening free at Leisure. O/N Shillong.
Day 04: Shillong — Kaziranga (5 – 6 Hrs)
Morning after breakfast leave for Kaziranga National Park. Reach by afternoon, evening free at Leisure & Rest. O/N Kaziranga.
Day 05: Kaziranga National Park.
Full day at Kaziranga National Park, famed for the one horned rhinoceros. Morning leave for visit to park by open jeep safari, where you can have a view of One Horn Rhino & other wild animals and species. Evening at Leisure. O/N Kaziranga.
Day 06: Kaziranga – Bomdila (7 – 8 Hrs)
Early morning leave for Bomdila in Arunachal. Tourist entry at Bhalukpung. Later start drive for Bomdila by visiting Asia's third largest Orchidarium at Tipi where you can see over 7500 orchids from a collection of approximately 300 species, some of them very rare. Situated at an altitude of 8500 ft. Reach by evening. Check into hotel. O/N Bomdila.
Day 07: Bomdila – Tawang (5 - 6 Hrs)
After Breakfast leave for Tawang. Enroute visit to Bomdila Monastery, It owes its inception to the 12th reincarnate of Tsona Gontse Rinpoche, who got this monastery built before his death in the year 1966. The monastery of Bomdila is an imitation of the Tsona Gontse Monastery, located at Tsona in South Tibet. Later proceed journey to Tawang by crossing famous Sela Pass and later pay a tribute visit to Jaswant Garh. Reach Tawang There is a strong presence of Tibetan presence in Tawang. It is the birthplace of 6th Dalai Lama. The present Dalai Lama fled Tibet and took shelter in this monastery in 1959. Evening at Leisure. O/N Tawang.
Day 08: Tawang.
Full day at Tawang visiting the famed Tawang monastery, the monastery stands hovering on a hilltop, at an altitude of approximately 10,000 ft. One of the largest Buddhist monasteries in India, Tawang Gompa also holds the distinction of being the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama. Known by the name of Galden Namgyal Lhatse also, the monastery dates back to the year 1860-61. One of the major attractions of Tawang Monastery is the huge gilded statue of Lord Buddha. It also houses a rich collection of invaluable manuscripts, books and thankas (depicting Lord Buddha as well as other tutelary deities in diverse poses). At the entrance of the monastery is a pond, known as Dung Gyur Mani. The monastery sources its water from this pond only. War memorial & later leave for famous Tsongeshwar Lake Back to Tawang by late afternoon. Evening free time at Leisure at Tawang. O/N Tawang.
Day 09: Tawang – Bhalukpung (8 – 9 Hrs)
Transfer to Bhalukpung, on the Assam-Arunachal border. Enroute visit Nuranang falls & Tipi Orchidariam. O/N Bhalukpung.
Day 10: Bhalukpung – Guwahati (5 – 6 Hrs)
Morning after breakfast leave back for Guwahati, later visit to the famous Kamakhya temple. Evening free time to explore local bazaar. O/N Guwahati.
Day 11: Guwahati.
Morning transfer to Guwahati Airport. Journey Ends Here. |
